Hi I'm Jonathan,


I started lifting weights at 15 years old, just before moving up to the 1st XV Team in rugby. My confidence wasn't at a high like it was being in the mini’s so I decided to try and get stronger & bigger before I turned 16 and was expected to play 1st XV rugby with a lot of bigger and older guys.

Seeing my strength increase filled me with immense confidence and since then I have loved physical training, trying to improve my general health as well as help others do the same.

This is what led me into the fitness industry and subsequently to become a PT!

    Worth it!

    Me and Maren had our first session with Jonathan tonight and really enjoyed it! Was extremely hard, but you feel so good after it. We were abit anxious about going up to the weights in the gym, but once your up there and Jonathan is explaining everything you don’t feel nervous at all. Definitely worth it, looking forward to out next session already.

    Loosing weight and gaining confidence!

    Weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost 1 stone in 31 days. Could not of done it without the help from Tough Cookie Fitness. I can’t stick to a diet and I always join the gym and go twice then cancel my membership. Jonathan has helped me completely change my diet and make me be more confident in myself when it comes to exercise. I was so nervous about starting personal training with him as I’ve never done anything like it before but the professionalism, encouragement and support I’ve received is amazing! 

    Not only am I loosing weight and gaining confidence, I am happier and stronger. Looking forward to losing the next 2 stone and having a fab beach bod for Ibiza.

    Such good fun

    Been going to Jonathan’s classes for a couple of weeks now and they are fab! Was so nervous to go at first but they are such good fun and he’s so good at helping and suiting all abilities! The classes definitely make a difference and you feel so much better after...excited for some more challenges in the next few weeks.

    Been going to classes for a few weeks now and although I may complain when I am there , each week is different and I do enjoy going. Tonight was my first night at outside boot camp , was a bit nervous about trying this but really loved it once got going.

    Fab PT session tonight! Made us work hard but was so enjoyable. Jonathan gives great advice and listens to what you want to get out of his sessions. Pushes you but with great encouragement and very motivating. Would recommend for anyone looking to get into shape and improve fitness.

    A huge thank you Jonathan. Another great session at Ballachulish shinty club. A very hard session. Tough cookie fitness has been taking training every second week in preparation for the shinty season and makes every one very enjoyable and specific to what we are looking for.

    Great classes, I was very sceptical about attending classes as it's been a while since I've done anything like this. I'm just back from my second class and going back for more on Wednesday. Well done and thanks Jonathan for the encouragement to even get me activated.
